The Canadian Arab Teatro is a dynamic and culturally rich Canadian federal non-profit organization founded in 2017 in Mississauga, Ontario. Guided by a dedicated board of Arab Canadian leaders and supported by an accomplished executive management team, the troupe is committed to fostering unity and inclusivity within the Canadian Arab community by curating a diverse range of cultural activities. At the forefront of their endeavors is their impressive theatrical work, aimed at transcending sectarianism and racism.
Since its inception, the Canadian Arab Theatre has been a beacon of creativity and resilience. Notable highlights include the thought-provoking play ``No Laughing`` in 2018, an exploration of the immigrant experience through ``Fresh off the plane`` and a theater workshop for children in 2018. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they adapted and continued their mission by organizing filmed theater workshops and creating poignant short films like ``The World Is Upside Down`` and ``Anger,`` addressing pressing issues facing the Arab community.
